Our collections contain materials relating to the history of Gibson County from 1813 to the present. 

They include family histories; early church histories and records; cemeteries; Archer Relief Corp.; Women's Christian Temperance Union; Gold Star Mothers; Civil War diaries; newspapers from 1846; Gibson County censuses (1807-1920); city directories; wills; probate court records from 1813; coal miner permits; early land records; delayed birth register; high school yearbooks; burial permits; funeral home records; city or township histories; early ministers of the area; atlases of the county, 1881, 1900, and present; black and mulatto register; orphans' home records; county infirmary records; and naturalization records. 

We also have an assortment of records on Knox, Pike, Vanderburgh, Warrick, Greene, Sullivan, Posey, and Daviess counties in Indiana. Also included are materials related to the states of Arkansas, Alabama, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Maryland, Kentucky, and Illinois; Civil War records; American Revolutionary War records; and a complete set of the War of the Rebellion.
